De Minaur became the third player to reach the 50-win milestone in 2025, alongside Carlos Alcaraz (67) and Taylor Fritz (50). The Australian holds a Tour-leading 37 victories on hard courts this season.  Against Borges, De Minaur displayed confidence and precision, tallying 19 winners against 10 unforced errors during the one-hour and 47-minute match. De Minaur will face Daniil Medvedev in the last eight, the Russian battling past Learner Tien of the U.S. 7-6(6) 6-7(1) 6-4 in a match lasting nearly three hours. Meanwhile, Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime advanced to the quarter-finals, defeating world number nine Lorenzo Musetti 6-4 6-2 in a match that lasted one-hour and 26 minutes.
