PROCOPCIUC ON TOP PODIUM STORY: Kazakhstan flexed its way to multiple titles as the 2025 Arm Wrestling Championship at Albena in Bulgaria wrapped up the biggest-ever in edition in history. More than 1,600 participants competed in various categories from juniors to para events. The central Asian nation claimed three of the four finals, Akmaral Sovetkhanova taking the Senior Women 65kg Left Arm as well as the Right Arm titles, while Yrysty Orazkhan secured the Senior Women 70kg Right Arm crown ahead of Sweden's Fia Reisek. In the men's competition, in the Senior Men 75kg Left Arm Final, Moldova’s Daniel Procopciuc prevented a Kazakh sweep by defeating Yerdaulet Mukhambetov. Nursultan Aldan overpowered Georgia's Datuna Zhishkariani to win the Senior Men 60kg Right Arm final. Meanwhile, Procopciuc defeated Georgia’s Akaki Tsitskishvili in the Senior Men 75kg Right Arm decider to claim a double. The championship delivered intense battles with the competition showcasing both emerging talents and seasoned champions, all pushing their limits in pursuit of victory and glory on the global stage.
