(SOUNDBITE) (English) DOMEN SKOFIC, CLIMBER, SAYING:     "There are no words that I would know that would completely describe what I experienced. It's for sure something like this has never been done before. And yeah, it's so much more than I, like I tried to visualize and stuff, but like the wobbles and the fluctuation of the G-forces and everything included like these things I could not imagine how they're going to actually feel. And it was incredible sensation, much harder than on the ground. I thought I'm prepared, but I wasn't. And that's one of the things which got me to doubt if I'm going to actually succeed or not. So in the end, I'm actually so lucky how I also like got with this two days of window that I had the opportunity to have just enough of a hard route to actually succeed on the end. I wanted something hard, but if I would make it just a little bit too hard, it would be off my limit." 16. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EWALD ROITHNER, PILOT, SAYING:     "The big technical challenges in the plane climb project was one thing, the aerodynamics. When a person is sitting on the wing, it destroys lift and it's hard to steer the plane. I feel the plane shaking, I feel the plane flying in one direction, this one part and the other part is the weight of the person. When Domen is climbing out on the wing, I feel the weight and to steer the plane in this situation was quite challenging." 17. (SOUNDBITE) (English) DOMEN SKOFIC, CLIMBER, SAYING:     "My biggest challenge, especially on the first day was not getting my fingers too cold. Then the second one was for sure like getting the perfect flow through the G-forces, like through the fluctuation that everything was done in the right moment. So when there was a positive one that I could hold with both hands and then take the next move when we were actually like at the neutral zone. So that was quite an important part, but it was also that was why it was everything that much more demanding because I had like basically at some points, not just the force of the parachute of me or the weight of the parachute, but also like positive forces of the additional G-forces." 18. VARIOUS OF FAILED ATTEMPTS STORY: Slovenian professional climber Domen Skofic made history when he became the first person to master a specially constructed climbing route under the wings of a Red Bull Blanix glider over Aigen im Ennstal in Austria.     Equipped with only a 12 kilogram parachute, the 31-year-old climber out of the cockpit of the glider piloted by Ewald Roithner at a height of 2,500 metres and climbed in a figure-eight loop around both wings of the aircraft, passing over the underside.     Skofic first climbed out onto the underside of the left wing, returned under the fuselage and switched to the right side. There, he moved to the centre of the wing and transferred to the top with a precise move.     The route corresponded to a climbing difficulty of 8a but brought a completely new dynamic compared to a vertical climbing wall: in addition to gravity, the athlete had to balance the strong airflow of 80-100km/h that pushed him backwards from the front and sides. Added to this were perceived temperatures of -10 °C and changing G-forces.     After completing the climb in around a minute, Skofic finished with a parachute jump from a height of 1,500 metres.     "There are no words that I would know that would completely describe what I experienced," Skofic said.     "It was incredible sensation, much harder than on the ground. I thought I'm prepared, but I wasn't."     The Blanik is a comparatively large glider, which gives it excellent stability in the air. Its greatest advantage is the ability to fly very slowly while still remaining steady, although pilot Roithner admitted that Skofic's weight on the wings made flying the aircraft difficult.     "When a person is sitting on the wing, it destroys lift and it's hard to steer the plane. I feel the plane shaking, I feel the plane flying in one direction, this one part and the other part is the weight of the person. When Domen is climbing out on the wing, I feel the weight and to steer the plane in this situation was quite challenging," he said. (Production: Andy Ragg)

The French defending champions eliminated Barca in the 2021 round of 16 and the 2024 quarter-finals, winning on their last two visits to the Camp Nou. The stakes are, however, lower in the revamped group stage format, and both sides will be depleted by injuries. PSG will be without captain Marquinhos, Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue, and Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia, forward Raphinha and long-term absentee Gavi are unavailable. Barcelona, the LaLiga champions, will be boosted by the return of teenage forward Lamine Yamal from a groin injury. MEDVEDEV TALKS TO UMPIRE AFTER THE MATCH STORY: Jannik Sinner underlined his dominance on hardcourts in the Asian swing of tournaments by outlasting Australian third seed Alex de Minaur 6-3 4-6 6-2 on Tuesday (September 30) to reach his third straight China Open final.     In the final, the four-times Grand Slam winner will take on 19-year-old American Learner Tien after former U.S. Open champion Daniil Medvedev retired from their semi-final with what looked like cramp while trailing 7-5 5-7 0-4.       Medvedev, who had battled from two breaks down to edge the opening set, struggled physically before letting a 5-3 lead slip in the second.      Tien fought back to force a decider and the Russian pulled the plug early in the third, sending the American through to his first ATP tour final.     Medvedev also had a heated exchange with the umpire after receiving a code violation for failing to play a return in the third set before calling for the match supervisor.     Sinner made a typically fast start in his bid to secure an 11th straight victory over De Minaur, breaking the world number eight to love for a 4-2 lead, but he had to battle hard in the next game to hold serve.     The 2023 champion had no trouble wrapping up the first set from there but ran into trouble early in the next, appearing to struggle physically at times, before tight holds helped him level at 3-3 and 4-4.         De Minaur persevered to win only his second ever set against the Italian with a gutsy performance in the 10th game but Sinner regrouped in the decider, breaking in the first game and holding off his opponent to reach a ninth straight final on hardcourts. VIDEO SHOWS: PHOTOS FROM GALATASARAY'S 1-0 HOME WIN OVER LIVERPOOL IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GROUP PHASE / POST-MATCH COMMENTS FROM GALATASARAY COACH OKAN BURUK & LIVERPOOL MANAGER ARNE SLOT COMPLETE SHOTLIST TO FOLLOW STORY: Victor Osimhen scored an early penalty as Galatasaray beat an error-prone Liverpool, who lost goalkeeper Alisson and striker Hugo Ekitike to injury, 1-0 in a raucous Champions League clash in Istanbul on Tuesday (September 30). The masked Nigerian striker blasted the ball past a diving Alisson when he stepped up in the 16th minute after Baris Alper Yilmaz went down on being swiped in the face by Dominik Szoboszlai. Liverpool made three changes to the lineup that suffered a first league defeat of the season by Crystal Palace at the weekend, with Mohamed Salah on the bench along with record signing Alexander Isak. Both came on in the 62nd minute when Liverpool made a triple substitution, with Salah replacing starter Jeremie Frimpong on the right wing, after Alisson had gone off injured and was replaced by Giorgi Mamardashvili in the 56th. Ekitike, in the starting lineup on his return from a domestic suspension, went off injured in the 68th on a bruising night for the visitors who had their chances but looked alarmingly vulnerable in defence. VIDEO SHOWS: PRESS CONFERENCES WITH BENFICA MANAGER JOSE MOURINHO AND CHELSEA MANAGER ENZO MARESCA FOLLOWING THEIR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MATCH (SHOTLIST TO FOLLOW) SHOWS: LONDON, ENGLAND, UK (SEPTEMBER 30, 2025) (REUTERS – Access all) 1. STORY: Jose Mourinho enjoyed a warm welcome but a disappointing return to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday (September 30), a first-half own goal gifting Chelsea a 1-0 win over his new Benfica side in the Champions League. A scrappy game was decided in the 18th minute when Chelsea's Pedro Neto looped the ball to Alejandro Garnacho at the far post and the Argentine stretched to turn it across the face of goal where the unfortunate Richard Rios could only poke it in his own net. Mourinho, who won three league titles in two spells with Chelsea, waved and blew a kiss when the home supporters sang his name. The fans' mood contrasted strongly with previous visits when he was in charge of Manchester United and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea will be relieved to have points on the Champions League board, despite finishing the game with 10 men after substitute Joao Pedro was sent off deep into added time for two yellow cards. Enzo Maresca's team lost their first Champions League outing in more than two years to Bayern Munich earlier this month. They started brightly, hogging possession and creating chances for Neto and Enzo Fernandez. Garnacho, signed this season from Manchester United, busily probed down the left wing. Benfica, who have lost all five of their meetings against the London side, looked dangerous in spells with Fredrik Aursnes and Georgiy Sudakov having shots blocked and Dodi Lukebakio forcing a save onto the post. But the game was a stop, start affair in the second half, with seven yellow cards brandished before Chelsea's red just before the final whistle. Benfica fans taunted their former player Fernandez as he took a corner in front of them late in the first half and the smiling Argentine clapped them which provoked a flurry of plastic cups from the stands. Mourinho strode down the touchline gesturing for the visiting fans to calm down. The Portuguese coach took charge of Benfica less than two weeks ago after the side lost their first Champions League game to Azerbaijan's Qarabag and the Lisbon side sacked Bruno Lage.  (Production: Will Russell & David Grip)

GALATASARAY COACH OKAN BURUK ARRIVING FOR POST-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE & TAKING SEAT 4. (SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) GALATASARAY COACH, OKAN BURUK, SAYING: “Of course, I think we had a very important night. I think not just in terms of winning the match but in terms of the game, as a visual feast, our fans’ passion and desire that started before the match and continued until the end, defending with the team, attacking with the team. I would firstly like to thank our fans who created this atmosphere. Likewise, our players experienced this throughout the game. I also think we did a very good job tactically, because they are currently one of the most important teams in Europe. One of the teams that have one of the best squads (in Europe), and of course, they have a very good manager. From the beginning of the match to the end, they worked very hard to score and create chances. Of course, scoring early was an advantage for us. We actually created a couple of chances for a second goal. We also gave our opponents some chances, but I believe we deserved to win the match with the fight we put out in general throughout the match. It was a very important victory. I want to thank everyone, especially my players. It was a great atmosphere today. We had a bad experience in the first match of the Champions League. By beating Liverpool today, we actually earned here the three points we lost there (at Frankfurt). We have a long way to go. We'll continue, but it's been a morale boost for us, as well as for our national football. We've shown what a Turkish team can do. So, I'm really happy.” 5. BURUK LISTENING TO QUESTION  6. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL MANAGER, ARNE SLOT, SAYING: “I haven’t seen it back, but there was no contact with the feet, and I don’t know if you’ve been to all of my press conferences, but the last few weeks, I’m talking quite a lot about that we are a very fair team, and I think maybe this was a situation where their player was really smart. He felt something, and made it feel as if it was an unbelievable hit, and the referee said ‘yeah, there’s contact’, and then the VAR cannot overturn it if there was contact. Although he did overturn the contact in the last minute when we got a penalty. This is something we have to accept.” 7. So, yeah, then normally he will not be able to play Saturday. That’s 99.9%. I’ve already said 100%, but lets make it 99.9, but I think it’s 100.” 9. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL MANAGER, ARNE SLOT, SAYING: “Yeah, Hugo felt something, and after the game, but yeah, that’s always the difficult thing with these moments, then players feel like, ‘it’s not too bad’, but yeah, when you just walk around it’s something different than when you make a sprint or when you have to shoot on target. So, he said he couldn’t continue, so, we had to take him off. Let’s see how he is for the weekend.” 12. SLOT LEAVING AT THE END OF HIS PRESS CONFERENCE   STORY: Victor Osimhen scored an early penalty as Galatasaray beat an error-prone Liverpool, who lost goalkeeper Alisson and striker Hugo Ekitike to injury, 1-0 in a raucous Champions League clash in Istanbul on Tuesday (September 30).
