WIDE OF TRAINING/ STADIUM INTERIOR STORY: Algeria’s national football team trained on Monday (October 13) at the Hocine Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou as they prepared for their upcoming World Cup qualifying match against Uganda.  Head coach Vladimir Petkovic oversaw the session, which included several key players such as Riyad Mahrez and goalkeeper Luca Zidane, as the squad fine-tuned tactics and fitness ahead of Tuesday’s game.  Midfielder Yassine Benzia, who plays for Al-Fayha FC in Saudi Arabia, said the match would be an important test for the Desert Foxes. “Tomorrow is going to be a good match and a good opportunity to test our skills against Uganda, the second-best team in the group,” Benzia told Reuters. “They still have a chance to qualify so they will play hard to win, and for us it is going to be a match to prepare for the next stages.”  Anis Hadj Moussa, who plays for Feyenoord Rotterdam, said the encounter carried both competitive and preparatory importance.  “It is a very important match tomorrow. It is also preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations as it is against an African team,” Hadj Moussa said. “We know it is very hard to play against Uganda because we already played them away in the first leg — it was tough. It’s a match we need to take seriously and one I hope we will win again.”  Algeria lead their World Cup qualifying group with 22 points from 9 matches having already wrapped up qualification for next summer's tournament with a 3-0 win away to Somalia on Thursday.
