Oct 5 (Reuters) – Moments after Jeanne Lehair claimed her first Supetri League overall title in front of her home crowd in Toulouse on Sunday, her dream day got even better when her boyfriend dropped to one knee with a marriage proposal on the podium. The France-born triathlete, who represented Luxembourg at the Paris Olympics, had just savoured her breakthrough victory after finishing second overall in the previous two editions, when fellow triathlete Nathan Lessmann popped the question on the post-race podium. With fans cheering on and confetti raining down around them, Lehair said yes as the proposal capped a perfect weekend for her team. Lehair's Podium Racing teammate Leonie Periault finished second in the series leaderboard, confirming their team title in the fast and furious multi-lap format that features three back-to-back rounds of 300m swim, 4km bike and 1.6km run with eight transitions. In the men's race, Hungary's Csongor Lehmann won the overall title, while Crown Racing teammates Vasco Vilaca and Ricardo Batista finished second and third. Crown Racing finished second in the teams' leaderboard. (Reporting by Rohith Nair and Chiranjit Ojha in Bengaluru, editing by Pritha Sarkar)
