Indonesia's January-August coal exports fall 5.16% y/y

JAKARTA, Oct 1 (Reuters) – Major thermal coal producer Indonesia exported 251.13 million metric tons in the January-August period, down 5.16% year-on-year, the statistics bureau said on Wednesday. The bureau's data are based on reports from the customs office. The data may differ from those provided by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, which are based on reports from mining companies.
