Japan ruling party chief Takaichi says BOJ's decision must align with govt goal

Oct 9 (Reuters) – Japan's ruling party chief Sanae Takaichi said on Thursday the central bank is responsible for deciding monetary policy means, but any decision it makes must align with the government's goal. In a television interview, Takaichi said there were both benefits and demerits in a weak yen, adding that she did not want to trigger excessive declines in the currency.
