MUMBAI, Oct 10 (Reuters) – STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.53% at 82,605, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.54% to 25,318, led by financial stocks, while information technology stocks posted modest gains after Tata Consultancy Services beat quarterly revenue estimates. RUPEE: The Indian rupee rose nearly 0.1% versus the U.S. dollar to 88.7, on the back of likely market interventions by the Reserve Bank of India, even as rising gold and silver prices added to the headwinds that the South Asian currency is facing. GOVERNMENT BONDS: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.62 rupees, with the yield flat at 6.5255% as traders awaited the weekly debt auction result. OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up flat at 5.4225%, while the five-year swap rate was up slightly at 5.6370%.
