VARIOUS INFANTINO WALKING IN OTTAWA (MUTE) STORY: FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited Ottawa, Canada on Friday (October 10) to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and discuss preparations for next year’s FIFA World Cup. Infantino presented the prime minister with a ticket for the opening game in Toronto next summer and thanked him for his support as a co-host of the tournament. Infantino described the tournament as "the biggest sporting event ever" and went to say that "the whole of Canada, the whole of the country has to participate, has to feel being part of it". Canada will host 13 matches next summer along with co-hosts Mexico and the United States. Carney said all of Canada is "excited and honoured" to be part of the World Cup as he presented Infantino with a sculpture of a football during his visit to Canada's parliament.
